I am not good with breakfast, never have been. Peanut butter and jam on toast has always been my go to, that or just having a latte. I’m also not a morning person, so the idea of cooking in the morning is just ridiculous to me lol.
I’ve discovered recently the ease and tastiness of yogurt bowls in the morning!
MY SUPERFOOD YOGURT BOWL
I start with a non dairy yogurt, like unsweetened coconut or oat.
Mix in the following; Chia seeds - Which are great for your heart as well as Anti-Inflammatory
Freshly ground flax seeds - source of soluble fibre amd Omega 3s
Organic wild frozen blueberries - The king of antioxidants, Vitamin C + K, Manganese
Frozen Pomegranate - too many benefits to list!
Maple Syrup - high in antioxidants, riboflavin, zinc, calcium and potassium, fights inflammation.
Top with;
Coca Nibs - a superfood full of antioxidant, good source of fibre, protein, healthy fats amd many minerals - people who consume cocoa nibs have lower rates of heart disease, certain cancers, and mental decline.
Walnuts - Anti-inflammatory and great for heart health
You can make yogurt bowls with any ingredients you happen to have! Sometimes I’ll even have one for dessert!
