Hey Everyone,

 

As I sit trying to write this I’m fighting a craving for a giant bowl of salt and vinegar chips 🤣

 

Even with my chronic health condition (psoriatic arthritis) and some knowledge of healthy lifestyle choices, I really struggle with food, exercise and even mindfulness . It’s been an incredibly difficult journey trying to create new habits that I can stick with even when I‘m not feeling my best.

The pandemic has been a huge catalyst for so many people along with being incredibly difficult. I have been a professional photographer since 2006 and have been struggling for many years wanting to change careers. Once the pandemic hit and I didn’t have to work, I realized that I really didn’t want to be a photographer anymore. With my physical and mental wellbeing at an all time low, I decided that I need to change my ways and put my health into my own hands.

 

This journey I’m on is really difficult at times, it’s not easy… But neither is feeling terrible all the time. Making great changes from a place of pain can be very powerful!

In the past few weeks I’ve been studying to become a Food Matters Nutrition Coach. I’ve learnt so much (some of it really scary and infuriating) in a short amount of time and will continue to learn more over the next few months! My goal is to learn as much as I can to manage and improve my health as naturally as possible.

 

I’m excited to share my journey and inspire you to make healthy changes in all aspects of your life. It would bring me joy to help even one person feel a little bit better!

 

I have to admit that I love my couch and binge watching television, that’s where the name Couch to Couching came from! I also love music, singing, nature, swimming, kayaking, camping, hiking, boar games and spending time with my friends, family, my husband and our 2 kids!

I also have a very annoying habit of taking pictures of my food, that should come in helpful when sharing recipes 😁
